After about 2+ years of staying in Denver, I will be moving to India the coming weekend.

I have about three weeks of vacation, split across mine and my wife's hometown. I hope that would be enough of a time to recharge myself and start work again on things I love to do. :)

I look forward to getting back to India.

Those of you who have been in my Facebook friend list for past couple of years, would have been receiving several notifications (spam?) on my gaming activities. Lately, it should have stopped and have gone silent.

Does that mean I've stopped gaming? Well, not actually. I have shifted to EdgeWorld on Google+ and have been pretty much a regular in the recent weeks as a member of The High Lords alliance.

While Google+ does not seem to have gotten any traction yet, you can still see the trickle through of those "early adopters" getting in there. Long back, when I shifted from Orkut to Facebook, the case was similar.

ದ್ರುಪಾಲ್ (Drupal) ಒಂದು ವೆಬ್-ಸೈಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ. ಇದನ್ನು ಡ್ರೈಸ್ ರ ನೇತ್ರತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಓಪನ್ ಸೋರ್ಸ್ ಸಮುದಾಯ ವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಓಪನ್ ಸೋರ್ಸ್ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೇ ತರಃದ ನಿರ್ಭಂದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಯಾವುದೇ ತರಹದ ಪರವಾನಿಗೆ(license) ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಬಹುದು. ಅಮೇರಿಕಾದ ಸರಕಾರಿ ವೆಬ್-ಸೈಟ್ ಕೂಡ ದ್ರುಪಾಲ್ ಅನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮೊದಲು ಕ್ರೋಮ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದು ಹೇಗೆಂದು ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದೆ.

ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು Ubuntu OS ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀದಾ ಬರೆಯಬಹುದೆಂದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು.

ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲು Google Transliterationನ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವಾಗ ಬೇರೆ ಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದು, ಅದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೋಪಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ನಾನು ಗೂಗಲ್ ಕ್ರೋಮ್ ಬಳಸುವ ಕಾರಣ, ಒಂದು extension ನ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೇನೆ

ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮಿತ್ರರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು!

It took me quite a bit of time but finally I migrated all the content of KMaheshBhat.com from the Drupal 6.x single site install to a Drupal 7.x multi-site setup. That means, WiseTome.com, Splat.WiseTome.com and KMaheshBhat.com now runs from same code base.

This one came up on my feed reader. A really good read.
