I seem to have developed a knack to design logos. Here is a gallery of different logos I designed. Most of them were for my own websites.
Splat was one of the first blog that evolved as a good magazine. Its topics were varied and it was hard to decide on the logo in terms of delviverables. But the design process got its direction, when the meta-info, that Splat is 'splat of information' was seen as the core influencce for the logo. After that it was quite a simple design, and working out some assymetric arrangements, the logo was arrived at. Initially it was a mono color - but then it was convert to dual tone to give some depth.
Udantak is a Blog Network aimed at Indian Bloggers. But early on, there was a requirement to create a brand image that would let one identify the network very easily.After a week of brainstorming, a minimalastic approach was chosen, and the pen was chosen as a symbol of association. Also, the vertical alignment created a shape that hinted towards an Indian influence. This was desirable as Udantak aims at being a network of Indian bloggers.
Udantak being a blog netork - required a blog. And for a blog , it required a logo. It had to be different but it had to be associated with the main Udantak Logo. The variation was a simple design. The core Udantak logo without the Web 2.0 reflection was taken and an elaborate looking badge with 'Blog' was used. The result was an elegant logo for the blog that is associated with the main entity.

There are some more Logos that I have designed for others - but as of now, I am not at the liberty to publish them. I will publish them as soon as they start using the logos.
