Windows To Linux

I have finally begun the journey of migrating from Windows to Linux. Presently, I have been able to setup Windows Vista and Ubunut Feisty Fawn in a dual boot configuration on my laptop.

As each day passes, I feel being encumbered more by the potential lock down by Microsoft - and I do not want anything I start to be locked in a box. This is a step for me to get out of the habit - a habit that has been bred into me from my early schooling days - the days of DOS 6.22.

There was a bit of hic-cup during the migration, but now I feel confident, as I tune up Ubuntu more and more to my liking - quite a contrary experience to Vista where I had that sinking feeling of entropy setting in.
