Sherlock Holmes - Movie

I am just back from watching the movie, Sherlock Holmes, a film adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's literary character. A good movie, that is worth watching.

The cast includes Robert Dowey Jr (from Iron Man fame) playing Sherlock Holmes, Jude Law playing Dr.Watson and Rachel McAddams playing Irene Adler. Guy Ritchie (director of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch) has done a wonderful job of portraying the dark and tormented character of Sherlock Holmes, the chemistry between Sherlock and Watson, and eye candy of action that makes it a good watch.

The dark nature of the character in Arthur's works have always been there albeit an undertone in my opinion. Since his works have gone into public domain, I presume there have been a lot of adaptations have been done. But I think this movie gives a different portrayal of the character altogether - perhaps too street-fighterish for some people.

As I already said above, worth a watch and be on a lookout for a sequel.
