Fall Of Wisdump?
For those of you who do not know, Wisdump.com is a great site that discusses on the Web 2.0, Design and similar issues. Or should I say, it was a great site?
It was earlier run by Scrivs, the CEO of the great blog network, 9rules. Recently he sold the blog to Lee. Even my favorite blogger, Stuart Brown (of Modern Life) started writing to it.
Days passed, and the posting frequency/consistency began to degrade. It is understandable when something changes hands, and Wisdump deserved some patience on its readers part.
Today's post there by David Krug has caused a bit of commotion. That, and his responses to readers comments on degradation of quality of Wisdump, has really put a question mark on the point of visiting or subscribing to Wisdump.
The issue he raised there is a valid one. The direction was in alignment to what Scrivs posted about. But it was the tone, and the attitude that made the difference. I am not against critisisms. But it is the aloof attitude when you criticize others and rebound when others treat you the same way (see the comments), that would make one leave and ignore the place.
