Collaborate

This is something that I have learned - may be the hard way. Aren't there times when we put in the best of our efforts and go beyond what we can, pushing the envelope to achieve a goal. The problem is that you might even be good at the work you do, but there are some parts, that you are really weak at. When we are not able to achieve those parts, even to the level of mediocrity. And we fail to reach the goal.
We get frustrated, and we usually end up doing one of the two things. We either give up on it, or try to analyze the situation.
When we analyze ourselves with regard to that goal and the effort we have put, we are able to see our strengths and weaknesses. There is nothing to do for the strengths - keep up the good work! But what about weaknesses?
There are again two options - train/study/work to improve on that weakness or collaborate.
I am not saying we should not work on our weaknesses, but when you need to keep things going, the better option would be to collaborate. Look around, and try to find those who are seeking the same or aligned goal. Communicate with them on your intention to collaborate.
Most of the times, they would agree. It might be because they will see your strength in other part, or just because, the work and effort can be shared.
When you team up, both of you can achieve the goal you want. There is enough place in the world for two (or even more).
PS: Yes, I know. I did not provide the background for this nugget. I will keep that a secret for now. ![]()
