Cloverfield
Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.
About a week back or so, I happened to stumble into a theater and watch Cloverfield. A must watch by my standards, if you are in the camp who like sci-fi movies. The documentary/amatuer camera approach gives it a Blair Witch effect.
If you have trouble with your eye, or your stomach throws up when you watch shacky video, I would suggest you avoid this movie. The full length is about people running from one danger or other, and the camera capturing their experience.
